Both designed by French course designer, Michel Gayon, the Old and New course complement each other perfectly. Whilst the New course is shorter, more open and more forgiving, the Old Course is longer, narrower and includes a more complicated set of hazards which must be navigated if you want to come home with a good score.
The Old course is hidden away amongst the beautifully dense pine forests of the Turkish countryside, at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. It is perfectly situated for a peaceful round of golf and is an excellent choice for those who are looking for something which seems like it is “away from it all”, without having to sacrifice on quality or top-of-the-range facilities. The course design means that many of the holes are so sheltered that you would believe that you were the only golfers on the whole course, which surprises many players, as it remains one of the most popular courses in the Belek region. This is ideal for those who want to focus fully on playing their best game.
However, those who like civilization need not worry. The Gloria facility includes a Golf Academy, driving range (with 48 private bays) and an 18-hole putting green. Strong shuttle links to major local hotels also mean that there are plenty of visitors taking advantage of the Old Course, and its sibling courses every day. Once you make it back to the clubhouse bar, terrace, and restaurant, you will find plenty of fellow golfers to swap stories with.
