Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort
The Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort is the first word in authentic European luxury. Situated on the picturesque southern coast of Portugal, the resort offers prestige, tranquillity, and glamour for golf tourists and holidaymakers.
The main areas of the resort have been designed and decorated to show off the rich heritage of the region, but the sculptures, artwork, paintings, and installations work together to create a marvellous contemporary feel.
There are 280 different rooms and suite for guests to stay in, including specially adapted suites for disabled guests. All of the rooms at Anantara Vilamoura include a balcony with its own daybed and most offer views out across the Arnold Palmer Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course. Guests will also enjoy the use of a special rain shower bathroom suite.
There are complimentary Anantara Spa toiletries and the use of guest robes and slippers for all guests. All rooms feature an entertainment suite with LCD TV, on-demand video and iPod connector and radio player. Suites include extra living areas and further amenities.
Food lovers will be delighted by the choices that are on offer at the Anantara Vilamoura. There are three different restaurants on site, which serve a wonderful array of cuisines. The Emo Restaurant offers Portuguese cuisine with a contemporary twist, the Victoria Restaurant serves International choices at breakfast and dinner, and the Ria Restaurant serves fresh, local seafood at lunchtime.
Those who are looking for something a little bit out of the ordinary can arrange a private dinner through the Dining by Design service. Alternatively, guests can sign up for special cookery classes at the hotel with Spice Spoons. A selection of lounges and bars also serve light meals and drinks throughout the day.

Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort Facilities
We spent 12 nights in the Anantara and we are devastated to have left! What a beautiful hotel! Highlights: - The staff really make this hotel. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, welcoming and good-humoured. This was visible across all staff members - from the breakfast staff, pool staff, valet and front desk. In particular Jose at breakfast was super attentive - always so prompt with the cappuccinos and very warm and welcoming. Jose at the pool bar makes the best pornstar martinis and is always so friendly and good humoured! Kugic the valet was a gentlemen. The front desk were very helpful with any questions - they gave us some great restaurant tips. - The main pool area is stunning with a very relaxed vibe and a beautiful view of the Victoria golf course. There is a
We had read some of the reviews from the busy summer months and therefore checked in for our 9 night stay with some trepidation. We needn’t have been concerned as we had a really great stay and didn’t experience the issues previously outlined. The excellent service made this hotel, if there were any issues they were rectified without hesitation. The breakfast service was exceptionally well organised and social distancing well observed in the buffet (which is a proper buffet now). The hotel is a little way out of Vilamoura marina but the shuttle worked well, you do have to share with other family groups in close proximity so that is a small downside. There were always free loungers around one of the pools but the prime spots were always with towels on early morning - slightly
I stayed at this lovely hotel in June when things started opening up in the world. Really nice pool and views to the golf course, I would recommend you upgrading your room To a suite so you have space. Breakfast was nice & service was good. Really good location to vilamoura and the hotel ha a free Mercedes to take you in & out so a great base to go and explore the resort. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now I would say it’s more of a 4star plus but it’s very calm & relaxing.
Had an amazing time at Anantara! Best hotel Ive been in! 6starts! ****** Went for my artist exhibition on show until September! If you’re in the Algarve definitely stay there, it will be worth it for sure!
Everything was perfect. One of the best places to stay in the Algarve. Anantara Algarve is perfect for a family holiday. The hotel's conditions allow you to relax without ever feeling the pressure that normally exists at this time of year. I highly recommend it.
I'll preface this review by saying that our (my wife and I) experience of this hotel is unlike anything mentioned in previous reviews, and unlike anything we've ever experienced before, purely down to the number of guests, or I should say the lack of them due to C19. I have to admit that I was worried about our 10-night stay, based on the previous reviews, but since Portugal went back into the amber list in the UK, people haven't been travelling and as such, we were fortunate enough to experience what it must be like being incredibly rich! From the very start, we were treated incredibly well. On arrival, we were shown around and had the various facilities and restaurants explained to us. We had to sit by the pool for an hour while our room was prepared and this is when we
Myself and my two teenage boys have just returned from a 5 day break to this lovely hotel. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and more accommodating. I was quite worried having seen some of the recent reviews but I think this must have been due to the sudden changes in Portuguese travel status relative to other European destinations making the guest numbers unpredictable. We had interconnecting rooms and were given our room on arrival at 9.30am so we could head for an extra buffet breakfast. COVID means that the breakfast stations are all manned but the quality and variety remains the same. We had one dinner in the hotel as well plus room service which was all lovely. Hotel pool was lovely with lots of luxurious sunbeds and no problem getting them. The gym was very well
This was our 3rd time here our experience is always stunning from the minute we are collected from the airport to being dropped back at departures, absolutely stunning our luxury cannot wait to return
We arrived home last week after an amazing 10 days. the hotel is gorgeous. Our room was large and comfortable with a seperate dressing room, large bathroom. Im saddened by the very negative reviews. The hotel was obviously short staffed but everyone was working as hard as they could. We had breakfast every day at 7,30am so never had a problem getting a sunbed, there was a really good choice of food at breakfast with sparkling wine. The breakfast staff were really good. We gave a large tip on the first day to the pool bar staff so we never had to wait for a drink. We had champagne in the evening before we went out outside the lobby bar, it was lovely. A shuttle service is provided but we chose to use uber as its only a few euros and you only wait 2 or 3 mins. We were so glad to
