Dom Pedro Vilamoura Resort Facilities
My wife and I opted for a stay at this hotel even with a mixed bag of reviews. We arrived and was greeted by a welcoming Roberto who took our bags and Pedro the duty manager, We will call him Pedro 1 as there are two we met. We were allocated our room on the 4th floor facing the pool and with sea views. Sadly there were some insects having a party around the fridge area but after a call and a brief inspection we were moved with no hassle or fuss to another room on the 8th floor. Pedro 2 had now taken over and he also arranged a complimentary bottle of bubbly. The whole team at the hotel were fantastic both myself and my wife are from a service background we enjoy getting to know the staff and find a little mutual respect and friendliness go a long way to enhancing our stay.
Hotel grounds clean and attractive with lots of shaded areas around the garden. Hotel lobby and communal areas clean and bright. Rooms nice size with comfy beds. Decent size balcony, would benefit from more comfortable chairs but adequate. Nice views from 7th floor. The bathroom shower was the only let down, husband managed a temporary fix otherwise the only direction the spray went was on the side wall. Housekeeping staff excellent job and very friendly Great coffee machine but would benefit from a kettle. ( I do like my cup of tea in a morning, I was aware of this and took a travel kettle but would rather not have to pack this). Reception staff approachable and professional. Night staff I found very cheerful and chatty whilst remaining professional. Stayed B&B and found
I have visited this hotel on a many occasions and have nothing but the highest praise for it, the location is excellent, The staff friendly and helpful, the Rooms are kept clean everyone does there job to high standard. My only disappointment on my last visit was the cliental , I don't know if it was the time of year or the fact that we have just reopened after a pandemic, but there were constant streams of men arriving to play golf, to which I have no objection, but they seem t have a competition to see who can be the loudest in the group and I saw men of 30+ behaving like schoolboys , I understand that I cannot blame the hotel for this but I thought it needed mentioning if anyone reading this was going for a quiet holiday. we stayed Bed and Breakfast and must say the quality
The hotel was well located, very central and just a short walk to the Marina. Staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was vast and the room amenities were great. Recommended for a leisure trip to Villamoura.
Had a fantastic 2 night stay here. Just a stroll to the beach and marina area where there are lovely restaurants and cheap too. Breakfast was busy but plenty of variety. Staff friendly. Would definitely recommend
Landed back yesterday - gutted to leave after another fantastic trip to this hotel. The staff were brilliant - in particular the bar staff. During the day especially the one that wears the glasses ( sorry don’t know his name) and evening. They are friendly polite and very helpful. Great too see they now have Heinz beans with breakfast (lol) The hotel grounds are beautiful and there is plenty of space. Rooms are cleaned everyday beds made and clean towels daily. Any queries or help needed reception staff were on hand. Looking forward to returning
We chose this hotel for its good location- close to the beach & marina. The breakfast was good, staff very efficient at getting everyone seated & good selection of hot & cold food. Unfortunately our room wasn’t ready for our 2pm check-in. We were happy to wait by the pool but when we returned 2 hours later the receptionist was abrupt & flustered with people checking in. It wasn’t a comfortable start to our stay. Pool towels & the room safe requires a deposit & there is a daily charge for using the safe. We booked a club room, which gave us a sea view on the 6th floor. We had a bottle of water delivered to the room the first night, but we never received more during our weeks stay. The coffee pods we used were not replaced when the room was cleaned, we only had 4 during the week!
We stayed in end July with the Dom Pedro after a long time at home over past year It is a good hotel , location and easy to access . The rooms are fine and bedrooms in good order. Breakfast is busy but you can eat your fill. The po0ol and open air gardens are spacious and again plenty of epople of all ages . The hotel is mainly small families and couples, no mayhem or noise which was good. The only issues were the masks people wore every where- no fun and definitely bad for health and breathing in 35 degrees heat , they made it all less enjoyable and very strange , please Portugal get rid of them ! Staff - friendly maybe inexperienced, but all helpful It is a recommended hotel for guests seeking relaxation and you could have dinner there also with some light music Thank You!
Just returned from a week at the Dom Pedro Vilamoura, our first visit to anywhere in the Algarve. It was a signal success. The hotel is well-located, both near the centre of Vilamoura, and a short walk to the main beaches (Praia da Quarteira (10 mins) or Praia da Falesia (15 mins). We never needed a taxi. The medium-sized hotel was possibly half-full, still enforcing COVID social distancing and mask-wearing, but with a good feeling of a resort in full swing. Check-in was swift and the room assignment was generous (considering we booked cheaply through Booking.com). We only took breakfast at the hotel - which was very well laid out, excellent quality and variety, and comparatively efficient considering that one customer had to approach the food counters at a time, and ask or
