Just arrived back from a 4 night stay. What an amazing hotel. One of the best we have stayed in. They have a free shuttle to the marina which is great & staff are so friendly. They also have bikes to hire which we used to go to the beach one day. What a relaxing place, we can’t wait to come back next year!
We spent 12 nights in the Anantara and we are devastated to have left! What a beautiful hotel! Highlights: - The staff really make this hotel. They are incredibly friendly, attentive, welcoming and good-humoured. This was visible across all staff members - from the breakfast staff, pool staff, valet and front desk. In particular Jose at breakfast was super attentive - always so prompt with the cappuccinos and very warm and welcoming. Jose at the pool bar makes the best pornstar martinis and is always so friendly and good humoured! Kugic the valet was a gentlemen. The front desk were very helpful with any questions - they gave us some great restaurant tips. - The main pool area is stunning with a very relaxed vibe and a beautiful view of the Victoria golf course. There is a
We had read some of the reviews from the busy summer months and therefore checked in for our 9 night stay with some trepidation. We needn’t have been concerned as we had a really great stay and didn’t experience the issues previously outlined. The excellent service made this hotel, if there were any issues they were rectified without hesitation. The breakfast service was exceptionally well organised and social distancing well observed in the buffet (which is a proper buffet now). The hotel is a little way out of Vilamoura marina but the shuttle worked well, you do have to share with other family groups in close proximity so that is a small downside. There were always free loungers around one of the pools but the prime spots were always with towels on early morning - slightly
I stayed at this lovely hotel in June when things started opening up in the world. Really nice pool and views to the golf course, I would recommend you upgrading your room To a suite so you have space. Breakfast was nice & service was good. Really good location to vilamoura and the hotel ha a free Mercedes to take you in & out so a great base to go and explore the resort. I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now I would say it’s more of a 4star plus but it’s very calm & relaxing.
Had an amazing time at Anantara! Best hotel Ive been in! 6starts! ****** Went for my artist exhibition on show until September! If you’re in the Algarve definitely stay there, it will be worth it for sure!
Everything was perfect. One of the best places to stay in the Algarve. Anantara Algarve is perfect for a family holiday. The hotel's conditions allow you to relax without ever feeling the pressure that normally exists at this time of year. I highly recommend it.
We arrived home last week after an amazing 10 days. the hotel is gorgeous. Our room was large and comfortable with a seperate dressing room, large bathroom. Im saddened by the very negative reviews. The hotel was obviously short staffed but everyone was working as hard as they could. We had breakfast every day at 7,30am so never had a problem getting a sunbed, there was a really good choice of food at breakfast with sparkling wine. The breakfast staff were really good. We gave a large tip on the first day to the pool bar staff so we never had to wait for a drink. We had champagne in the evening before we went out outside the lobby bar, it was lovely. A shuttle service is provided but we chose to use uber as its only a few euros and you only wait 2 or 3 mins. We were so glad to
Given that we stayed here last Bank Holiday August we knew what to expect. As it is the only place that Brits can go to, we came this Half Term and it was extremely busy. Given all the uncertainties with Covid and restrictions on travel, they are short on staff which isn’t great but what do we expect.During our stay Portugal came off the Green list so they will go from full capacity to barely any people given their target audience are Brits. Positives - modern hotel, great hotel, good food. Negatives due to covid - queues for breakfast which was annoying, couldn’t sit by the pool due to the fact we weren’t prepared to wake up before 8am, service poor. We have a 1.5 year old and got put on the adults pool side and then got told off for our son using the pool there. What do
My boyfriend and I returned today from a 6 night stay at the Anantara. I was concerned after seeing a lot of the reviews on here but on the whole we had a lovely time. The hotel is definitely over capacity/understaffed. The staff are lovely and are all working their socks off and I cannot fault them individually but they are run off their feet. Breakfast is so busy with queues at each food station. The first few days of our holiday was fine but there was a noticeable difference in how busy the hotel was as the school holidays approached and there were children everywhere and probably too many for the size of the pool!. Ive seen several people say food and drinks take ages at the pool. We personally never had much of a wait for drinks and always received everything quite
