We booked 3 rounds of golf at Dom Pedro Vilamoura with stay / play package. We played Pinhal/ old course/Victoria -all good nBreakfast included was very good with a great variety of hot /cold options nWe were on second floor overlooking the pool right above the restaurant nThat was our only complaint on the resort as it tended to be noisynGreat location with a 5 minute walk to beach and across the street there are restaurants and you are only 10 minutes walk to beautiful marina nVery busy with groups of golfers.we had our own car for transport to the courses as the shuttle service seemed to be extremely overwhelmed

Hotel was fantastic for an all exclusive experience.nnOur room was spacious, clean and bathroom was a good size. Tea, coffee was an optional extra which is abit disappointing as normal hotels offer a kettle and tea bags, milk as standard. The rooms have a balcony which overlooks the pool which is great. On the nights with live music you can hear the live music on the balcony which is really nice!nnThe restaurant has breakfast, lunch and dinner. We found that the selection of food wasnt as much as other hotels we have stayed at but the food was very tasty and warm. Desserts were good but again not a large variety. The bar serves cocktails, liquor and hot drinks. nnPool area is very clean, the hotel provides clean towels and there were plenty of sun loungers available at all times. The hotel itself is a few mins walk away from the beach. Vilamoura beach is beautiful! Sandy and clear water.nnI highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting and hope to visit this hotel again in the future.

Sometimes it is really difficult to write a review when there is nothing really outstanding to point a finger at, either negatively or positively.nnSome investment is needed in the infrastructure - as per other reviews - but it is not stuff liable to cause an injury, just frayed at the edges. The litter thing is something that could be sorted quite quickly but it is just dropped serviettes and drinks straws rather then overflowing bins. Opinions on these things are personal - what is a major problem for one is easily overlooked by another - my wife and I passed comment and then moved on. Elsewhere in past reviews there is a note about standards slipping and noisy groups of lads so perhaps the market for this hotel is changing?nnThis is not an average hotel and I would give a good if that tick box existed. There are a lot more things that the hotel gets spots on: rooms are well proportioned, good size bathrooms, cleaning regime is excellent and location is great for access to the beach and the marina.nnWe did B&B so cannot comment on the evening meals but the bar area serves snacks and lunch which were priced well for the quality and portion sizes. And the booze is comparably priced to the outside bars. We did not experience any customer service issues but there is a mix of personalities and you can tell who is there just to pick up a wage and who is taking an interest ...nnIn conclusion, a hotel that will serve the purpose of providing a good standard of accommodation for anyone visiting Vilamoura but not an establishment that will enhance your holiday. Functional is a good word.

Lovely location, and great size hotel - not too big. The rooms are quite spacious, and well cleaned, however they are looking a bit dated and are in need of redecoration.nThe staff ... Well, it was all very hit and miss with staff. We were staying on an All-Inclusive basis so got to know the restaurant staff over the 5 days we were there - they were fantastic and looked after us very well. In particular, Val and Fran were really lovely. HOWEVER, the bar staff were rude and quite abrupt. Were not sure whether this was because we were All-Inclusive or whether they were like this with everyone. We tried tipping them to get them on-side, but that didnt really work. Some training is required here! The staff on Reception were generally helpful, apart from the occasional member of staff who, again, were a little abrupt in their manner.nThe pool area was pleasant, although they could do with re-concreting some areas where paving was a little loose, and they could also do with some umbrellas on the patio areas. There was plenty of shade on the grassed area, but we dont like to be on grass as my husband tends to get bitten.nAll the food, although limited as its not a huge hotel, was delicious. There were hot & cold options at breakfast. Lunchtime and dinnertime there was always a good selection of salads, meat, fish, plus desserts and delicious fruit. We didnt get tired of the offerings, although I should add we were only on a 5 night stay.nThey have a weird VIP Club whereas you have to complete a form to get a membership card which entitles you to 10% off at the Beach Club and 20% off at the Spa. As All Inclusive guests, there was a little confusion - I dont think we should have to carry a card - surely the bracelets we wear should automatically entitle us to these discounts??? The reception staff seemed a little unsure of some of the All Inclusive options. They tried to charge us for hire of bats & balls for paddle tennis - but the sheet they gave us on arrival said that tennis and paddle tennis were included - my husband had to argue with the Manager to get bats & balls without charge. I do think the All Inclusive situation needs looking at!nOverall, however, we enjoyed our stay and the Dom Pedro!

Recently stayed here for two weeks, enjoyed it very much. Hotel is nicely located, just a few minutes walk to the main Vilamoura beach, and not much further from the marina. The pool is decent size, very clean, the sunbeds are sturdy and seem relatively new. There were always plenty of them. The garden area is lovely and you can move your sunbed in and out of shade as you like. nnRoom - bed, TV, balcony all a good size. Our room was pretty quiet, rarely heard much from other guests or the street outside. Room was kept clean, except for the floor. I shed a lot of hair and we sometimes couldnt avoid bringing in a bit of sand from the beach, so we could tell the floor was not swept or vacuumed much (if at all) during our stay.nnThe bar is quiet, which is good for prompt service but if you want a bit of atmosphere you can go to the town or marina area, lots of choice there. Enjoyed most of the shows in the hotel at night, sometimes it was relaxing (ballad singer, jazz trio), sometimes more energetic. Especially enjoyed the exotic dance show. nnWe were AI so stayed in hotel mostly, we did go out for lunch a few times and for drinks one night. I see other reviewers complaining about the food, but we liked the food on offer, at least two meat and two fish options for lunch and dinner every day, variety was good over the two week period. Not much vegetarian dishes though, basically salad or pasta. Not a problem for us, but might be an issue for others. I dont expect food to be piping hot when its laid out on a buffet, or expect fish to taste fresh if its been out a while on a heated counter, but some people do. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant when it opened for dinner at first, so if thats an issue for you, just get in early and youll have the best of everything. nnHave to mention though that of all the AI hotels Ive stayed at, this one was the best for re-filling things in the restaurant, there was staff constantly replenishing the dishes/drinks/etc. Even coming towards the end of breakfast (the busiest meal) there were still staff coming out with fresh rolls/juice/etc. We never had to wait for anything.nnOverall would definitely recommend, especially for couples and those who like a relaxing atmosphere.

I stayed for one week with my mum and we had a lovely time! The staff are brilliant and so friendly, everything was taken care of promptly and we saw constant cleaning happening. The room and balcony were a good size, we were at the front of the hotel with a view of the sea from the balcony which was really pleasant. We found the hotel overall to be quiet, once we were in our room and even on the balcony we never really heard other guests.nnWe had breakfast included in our rate and there was lots of choice and good food, with the option to sit outside most mornings. Something we loved about the hotel is the garden area around the pool and all of the sun-loungers available; even on the busiest day it was never hard to find one and move it to a quieter shady spot if we liked. The hotel is also well located, set back from the main road which has lots of nice restaurants, and a short walk to the beach.nnWe had a leak from our A/C the first night, I told the front desk after breakfast and maintenance came straight away to fix it. On our last day we checked out at 12pm and our taxi was booked for 8pm, our luggage was stored by the hotel and there was no problem with us using the pool for the day.nnThe hotel building is on the older side but the inside has had some refurbishment so it was bright and comfortable. The only real thing that bothered us was that one of the three elevators seemed not to be working, they are small elevators and only fit about four people so at certain times of the day it was quite hard to use one.nnOverall we felt it was good value for money and we would certainly stay here again and recommend it!

Were coming to the end of our weeks stay at the Dom Pedro Golf Hotel. Weve had a lovely stay and havent much to fault at all. Hotel is in a lovely location and is about a 5 minute walk to both the beach and the marina. We have been on a bed and breakfast basis and the choice at breakfast has been vast - something to suit all tastes and the food and drink available is constantly being replenished. The staff at the hotel have been friendly and helpful - from reception staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping staff. I would recommend this hotel - Vilamoura has been a wonderful holiday for us.

The hotel was very nice. Staff very polite, professional and helpful.nWe did not go all inclusive so I cannot comment on the meals but breakfasts were top quality with a wide range of food for different tastes.nGood pool and golf facilities.nThe only reason for a 4 star rating was that in our other room the air conditioning did not work properly. We should have reported it and it may have got fixed.nOverall I can highly recommend this hotel.
