Gloria Verde Golf Course
This nine-hole course is widely regarded as one of the best nine-hole courses in Europe, and it is a great warm-up course for players, regardless of their age or abilities. For those who are looking for different challenges, the Gloria golf resort offers two 18-hole courses for players to try their hand at; the Gloria Old Course, which is long, narrow and complex, or the Gloria New course, which is shorter, more open and more forgiving.
As with the other Gloria courses, the Verde sees fairways wending their way through dense pine forests, around crystal-clear water features and to the foot of the Taurus Mountains. Even though it is a short course, players will still be required to think on their feet if they want to come out on top. After all, this course aims to push players so that they can improve on various skills.
Once you have finished up on the Verde course, you can enjoy all that the facilities that the Gloria golf resort has to offer. There is a well-stocked and well-staffed pro-shop, a Golf Academy, a 48 bay driving range and an 18 hole putting green, so you can continue to improve on your game, even after your round is over. Refreshment facilities and accommodation are also available, as are shuttle links to many external accommodation providers.
Packages with Gloria Verde Golf Course
We r visiting Belek regulary in Nivember for many years with friends ant their families. We stayed in many hotels but Gloria Verde was our all time favourite. We booked the same place this year but due G20 summit we were upgraded to Gloria golf. We liked this one too. It is much bigger complex and has many facilities and restaurants. It is great for children too (kids club, babysitting). This hotel seems a bit older and we missed the charm and attention to detail from the hotel we booked originally. The food and drinks are very good quality but rooms are not up to standard of a five star hotel. Too small, paper walls, vardrobe so tiny that no shelves or drowers can be fitted, This really was an issue for us, we are a family with a child and an infant and this room of 10 m2 was deffinitely not an upgrade in our opinion but overal we had a great time.
I first played this course in the first week it opened back in the mid to late 90's. Since then they have added 1 further championship courses a 9 hole course and a fantastic club house. Played the old course again this August and the course is simply stunning. The staff are incredibly nice and very helpful. The manager of the Gloria complex is English and incredibly accommodating. Thank you. If you intend to holiday in Belek this year or next, pack your clubs ........ You will not be disappointed.
Another great course well prepared fairways greens faboulas club house well presented staff very pleasant and accommodating
Our handicaps were 5,16,18 and 26 and we all enjoyed our 2 rounds of Gloria Old course (new was closed for maintenance). The course was in great condition. Some water features made you think, but no rough so easy to play to handicap. No real standout holes but a pleasant tree lined environment to play golf. Buggies were 35 euros. Beware the snack buggy - a can of coke and a snickers bar were 7 euros each! Both our rounds were 3.5 hours so no complaints of slow play.
Played the course early in the morning without a reservation. No problem at all getting on, we hired the clubs also. Our only issue was waiting for the pro shop to open at 7.30 to buy some balls. We played the old course, which is very tight and quite long. If you are slightly off on the day you will struggle. Being tree lined on most fairways it is best to chip out if you encounter the trees and pine needles. We loved the course and would like to tackle it again bringing our own clubs!
Our group of 12 golfers played 2 rounds at each (New and Old) of the courses. Both courses were in good conditions. We had mixed handicaps (11 - 28). The Old course starts with 2 holes over water so make sure you are ready from the off. 2nd hole (Par 3) needed a 150 yard carry to the green with practically no bail out area. Overall the front 9 was much longer and harder than the back nine. The New course was a bit more forgiving with lots of water features from the 8th onwards. Both courses were tree lined but not much rough so not too many lost balls if you can keep out of the many water hazards. Our group was split on which course they enjoyed the best but all of us wanted to come back. Weather was very hot so glad we had buggies ( 30 Euros if staying at Gloria hotels) but very much needed. The New course is probably the best to play if you are a high handicapper.
Played both the Old and New as part of our package with the Hotel. Both were in excellent condition and the the Gloria setup is hard to beat.
The golf was good, but the Food and Service in the club house restaurant excels, possibly the best food we had in belek
As a professional golf caddy I see a lot of courses, great good and bad and this one is a great venue! Lovely facilites, good restaurant, changing rooms, well stocked shop but most of all, 2 cracking 18 hole courses (plus a 9 hole) and fabulous practice facilites. Really good staff and vey friendly and I would recommend Gloria GC to all... groups, couples, everyone.... top class!
