Excellent hotel, staff great. Nice large clean rooms. The pool is excellent. Food in restaurant very good. The one huge thing though is that the pool overlooks and empty lake that is an eyesore & full of rubbish. I don’t know who is responsible for the lake but this stops me giving the hotel 5 stars and puts me off coming back until this is sorted out. This was my 4th visit here.
We have stayed in many Hilton hotels and this is absolutely one of the best. The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our rooms were excellent, spacious and stylish. Food, breakfast and dinner, was very high quality. I had a massage in the spa, and it was incredible, We definitely recommend this hotel.
This hotel is lovely and has a nice feel about it. The pool area is pretty and the water in the pool is a perfect temperature. It wasn’t too busy and had just the right number of people: not too busy and not too quiet. We didn’t have a problem getting beds but there is a shortage of parasols when the temperature is 36 degrees. Lunch in the pool restaurant was excellent every day. The hotel restaurant for dinner is nice but limited and an unusual menu. There are plenty of restaurants nearby though and our favourite was the Indian and Blue Collar which had great menus and atmosphere. nnI would return to this hotel as it is good quality and good value. Staff are friendly and reception were so kind letting me have an extra cookie which are absolutely incredible. Abraham is the absolute star of this hotel. He seemed to be everywhere. Always friendly and helpful and never seemed stressed even when under pressure. nnPs take your mozzie spray here and use it!
Our hotel rooms were a good size with large bathrooms looking out towards the pool. Service by staff in reception,poolbar and any staff we came into contact with was excellent and they couldnt do enough for you. You need a car if you stay here and want to explore the area. We had already done 7 days on the la manga strip so no need for a car. There are a number of restaurants around the corner from the hotel which are a two minute walk if you dont want to eat in the hotel. It was a great place to relax for a few days before going back home. We only found this hotel last year after being stranded from our flight being cancelled at 23.00.
Great hotel, friendly staff & excellent food at the poolside bar and restaurant. nWe had a poolside 1st floor king room - which was spacious and had a very comfortable super king sized bed. nWe had 6 nights here and would highly recommend it.nThis is my favourite Hilton to date (of 50+)
We had a wonderful time, that started off with the VIP reception by Angel the guest relations manager; thank you Angel for not only speaking fluent English but also your kind help and explanations. Really outstanding service!nThe room was very nice with a beautiful view, the breakfast outstanding and all staff very kind and helpful.My daughter had her birthday while being there and they arranged for a small cake with a candle; very nice. Even though we do not play golf, we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings , the infinity pool and great food. We will definitely return! Brigitten
The hotel is situated on a busy golfing complex and is the start attraction, the property is large and well laid out and reminded us of the Squaw Peak resort in Scottsdale AZ such were the dimensions.nnThe hotel staff were friendly and could not be more accommodating as was the manager Angel who did everything to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was incredible with a wide selection of breads, pastries, cold meats, salads, smoothies and of course fruits and a cooked to order option.nnThe restaurant was excellent as was the poolside bar.
Absolutely wonderful Hotel and facilities, all Staff were exceptional, rooms and all areas were clean, and the service for food and drinks really good. nThe Golf course was excellent and the booking of tee times was of no hassle, and the golf clubs for hire were quality.
Had a lovely stay here. The gated community ensures that you get a quiet, serene atmosphere. nThe rooms were super spacious, especially the bathrooms. The only issue I had, albeit a minor one because it wasn’t summer, was that the AC didn’t work properly. nBut other than that, no complaints whatsoever. The indoor pool was a nice temperature and the sauna was nice and hot. The breakfast at the hotel was very nice, with lots of variety. There are also several restaurants in the community within a couple of minutes (walking). nStaff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Nacho, the manager at the restaurant and Angel at the front desk gave us a lot information as it was our first time in the area. nIf our travels bring us to the region again, we will definitely stay here!
From the second we set foot into the hotel we were greeted and treated as VIPs by the reception staff, the assistant manager and the manager. We arrived late morning and were instantly taken to the restaurant for drinks and snack. This was our third visit to the hotel and we could not recommend it highly enough. The room we were allocated was spacious and spotless and overlooked the infinity pool and the 9th signature hole of the golf course. Each time we bumped into a member of staff we were asked how our holiday was going. We of course replied that it could not be better. Our fight home was late evening so we asked for a late checkout which would normally be only up until 4pm however we were allowed to keep our room until we were ready to leave at just after 6pm with no charge!! We would highly recommend this fabulous hotel to friends and family and will certainly be back again in the future. Thanks to all at Double Tree by Hilton La Torre Golf & Spar Resort. Lovely serene hotel on great golf resort. As a Hilton diamond member I was delighted to get my room upgraded - thank you Hilton. Room was very spacious with a lovely large bath. Great views of the resort and golf course from the very spacious balcony - it’s just a shame that the lake is looking so grubby and low in water, I spoke to a local who advised the hotel owned the lake and are seemingly refusing to fill it up. The mattress was too soft for my liking and I didn’t get much sleep the first night but got used to it I guess. I’ve read on other reviews that the internal phones were not working and they still weren’t during my stay - pretty poor. The pool area and bar are the real highlights of this hotel, lovely area to chill at with a good selection of food and drink. Staff were all very helpful and breakfast was as expected from a Doubletree with a great selection. I’ll definitely stay here again - I’m already missing sitting by that lovely pool!
