La Cala gives home three superb 18-hole championship golf courses and one 6-hole layout. Famous landscape architect Cabell Robinson designs the courses, each boasting its challenges and unique particularities and ensuring an exhilarating experience every time. The courses blend seamlessly into the untamed natural surroundings, rich in birds and wildlife and stunningly beautiful flowers and trees.

The Par 3 Course is ideal for beginners or for practising short game skills; Campo Europa is a dramatic course with an easier to manage layout, perfect for beginners and average golfers. Campo America is renowned for its spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and Sierra de Ojén, while Campo Asia guarantees a challenging experience even for seasoned golfers.

La Cala also has its own Golf Academy fit for beginners and experienced players alike, a well-stocked sports shop, and a delightful clubhouse.

Enjoying a prime position on the Costa del Sol, La Cala is a destination not just for golf holidays in Spain but also for all other holiday entertainments. Although the hotel is in idyllic countryside, it is only 20 minutes from Marbella’s bright lights and glitter. The nearest town is Mijas, a traditional Andalucían Pueblo Blanca and the beaches of Fuengirola are just a 15 to 20-minute drive away.

What an amazing place and setting for 3 unbelievable golf courses. From the moment you arrive at the resort you are treated like 5 star guests. Noting is too much trouble for any member of staff and the selection of restaurants and facilities on site are plentiful.. each golf course has its challenges but all are immaculate and in perfect condition. All 10 of us who stayed can’t wait to get back to la Cala again next year.

12 people went on our annual Lads and dads golf trip. This was the best by far over the past 7 years. Hotel and rooms were exceptional. Reception and all the staff were the best.Carmen needs a special mention on reception. The three golf courses which are directly attached to the hotel are very well kept, and are just a 5 minute walk from the reception. We aim to book there again fro 2023. It was that good. What a gem for a organised golf trip. Thank you for your hospitality.

3 great golf courses, great food on the terrace overlooking the course. Friendly helpful staff. I recommend a visit to Casa Roberto in Fuegerolla, with the world record golf clubs hanging from the ceiling. Food and staff are awesome, (Get the moules)

This is the third time we have been to La Cala and it is still a great venue for golf. Three very good courses all with stunning views and a good test for all levels of ability. Food this time I though was better at the club house rather than the hotel restaurant but was not impressed with the Tapas one. We had half board with the a la carte option which I would advise to go for.

First time staying at La Cala, loved it. Hotel accommodation, bedrooms etc were excellent as was breakfast.nWe were a group of 8 golfers, whose handicap ranged between 6 and 19 and we all enjoyed the 3 courses. Europa we found to be the most difficult and Asia the easiest. All 3 were in great condition!nIf the price hadn’t increased by a whopping 25% we would have returned next year!

11 of us travelled to la cala for 3 rounds of golf. Courses are all excellent with superb views on all 3. Staff all very helpful and friendly, only downside is food bit expensive and pro shop also. €21 for a starter and €99 for a la cala golf shirt. Would definately recommend going for the golf but best to eat out in local town 10mins away

After being introduced to golf last year, myself and friends decided to make it a priority to go on a golf holiday in the summer. We settled on La Cala which, with its location and amneties, proved to be the ideal spot for our group.nnThe resort itself offers three main restaurants and two bars, the latter including a poolside bar which served delicious cocktails at really affordable prices (approx. u20AC8 per cocktail) - a personal favourite of ours was the mango margarita, which was one of the best Ive ever had. We stopped at The Clubhouse Restaurant for late lunch everyday after our round and I couldnt help but order the club sandwich every time - it was that good. We also stopped by a couple of times for dinner however it wasnt as good and was expensive. It was noted a few times it was difficult to get a waiters attention and a couple instances where we would ask for the bill and it never came. On the first night however we ate at La Bodega Tapas & Grill, where the food was good and at reasonable prices (especially the tapas), along with the service being excellent. nnThe golf courses were large and in great condition, however the Asia course was closed for the duration of our stay due to maintenance. This didnt matter however, as two courses proved more than enough for five rounds of golf - we all especially enjoyed the Campo America course and the views around the entire complex are outstanding. There are carts driving round offering snacks, water and beers, which we all thought was a nice touch. Being new to the game, the courses were ideal for us however would suit any skill level as there are plenty of long and difficult holes. nnThe Pro Shop was also stacked full of nice La Cala branded gear, although was extremely expensive (even necessities like water and beer). Its worth pointing out there was a mix-up in our booking where we had reserved one less buggy than what we thought and the staff kindly gave us a discounted rate. Even though we went in mid-August, the course was surprisingly quiet and we never felt rushed - perhaps we were past peak season? nnInitially we did not believe it would be an issue getting taxis from the resort to the coastal towns however this did prove to be very expensive and is definitely worth factoring into projected costs. Taxis to Marbella (30 mins), Puerto Banus (35 mins) and Fuengirola (15-20 mins) will comfortably cost you between u20AC35-u20AC55. Nevertheless, these areas are definitely worth exploring!nnOur trip to La Cala was brilliant and if we didnt want to try new golf resorts Im sure it would be on our list to return as soon as possible. A special mention goes to the lady at the front desk who kindly and professionally helped us with an issue on checkout whereby another guest had placed approx. u20AC200 of food and drinks on our room. Thanks to all staff around the hotel for a great first golfing trip experience!

We have just returned from LaCal Golf resort as a group of 8 golfers. nI can only echo otheru2019s comments on how fantastic the staff are. From arrival we were made very welcome by the reception staff. nHaving been on other golf weekends abroad this was by far the best.nThe resort is fantastic and has a lovely compact feeling to it (itu2019s a 1 minute walk to breakfast, 3 minutes walk to the clubhouse etc.)nThe view is golf holes from every angle and what stunning scenery.nWe played all three courses and everyone had a different favourite. Elevated stunning tees on all courses with risk and reward holes. nAfter many years of this golf society the conversation has already started as why are we going anywhere else letu2019s book LaCala for next year.n10 minute taxi down to the town of LaCala or 20 mins over to Fuengirola if you want a livelier night out.nThe food at the clubhouse was good and reasonably priced and the breakfast was excellent.nI honestly have only positive comments about the staff, hotel and golf courses.
